Angular contact ball bearings have raceways in the inner and outer rings which are displaced with respect to the direction of the bearing axis. These bearings are suitable for accommodation of combined loads, i.e. simultaneously acting radial and axial loads in one direction only. The amount of axial load the bearing can carry increases depending on the contact angle, the larger the contact angle is, the higher the axial load it can support.
